JS Pakistan Day Parade- 23 March, 2024

The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan proudly participated in the Pakistan Day Joint Services Parade held on 23rd March 2024 in Islamabad, with a dedicated provincial float representing the region’s cultural heritage, natural beauty, and tourism potential. The participation symbolized unity with the federation and highlighted Gilgit-Baltistan’s strategic, cultural, and economic significance at the national level.

The provincial float was designed under the theme:

“Gilgit-Baltistan – Land of Majestic Mountains and Cultural Harmony”

The float artistically showcased:

  • Snow-capped peaks and iconic landscapes of the region
  • Prominent tourist destinations including Hunza and Skardu
  • Glaciers, rivers, and adventure tourism activities such as mountaineering and trekking
  • Traditional houses reflecting indigenous architecture

The design presented Gilgit-Baltistan as a premier tourism destination and a symbol of natural splendor. The float featured participants dressed in traditional attire from various districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, representing the region’s ethnic diversity and cultural richness. Traditional caps, embroidered dresses, and cultural symbols were prominently displayed.

The presentation highlighted:
